Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) has been found to contain a total of 42 vulnerabilities, according to 15 security advisories published by Cisco Systems on September 16, 2026.
The advisories address multiple serious flaws in the platform that provides network authentication, access control, and related security functions. Six advisories were rated Critical, three High, and six Medium. While ratings apply at the advisory level, the Critical advisories together reference 21 distinct vulnerabilities.
Particular attention is required for CVE-2026-76460, which stems from improper authentication controls in the management API. Attackers can bypass authentication on the management interface using specially crafted HTTP requests and execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. The ISE-PIC component is also affected by this issue.
Cisco has confirmed that exploitation of some vulnerabilities has already been observed in the wild and strongly recommends applying the available updates without delay.
