Apple has released security updates for its mobile operating systems, delivering fixes for a total of 163 vulnerabilities across multiple versions of iOS and iPadOS.
The company published iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 on October 26, 2026. These updates resolve issues in WebKit, the kernel, and image handling functions. Among the fixes is CVE-2026-113897, which could allow remote attackers to bypass the WebContent sandbox.
Apple also issued updates for older releases. iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2 address 134 vulnerabilities, including CVE-2026-64759 in the ImageIO framework that could permit arbitrary code execution via crafted images.
Further back, iOS 18.7.11 and iPadOS 18.7.11 receive patches for three vulnerabilities, one of which (CVE-2026-86950) has already been exploited in the wild.
The updates are available for compatible iPhone and iPad models. Users are advised to install them promptly to mitigate the reported risks.
