IDC has published its first-ever China Agentic Process Automation (APA) Products and Solutions Market Share Report 2025, defining and tracking a new market segment that integrates intelligent agents into enterprise automation.
The report values the Chinese APA market at approximately 2.15 billion RMB, split between 1.62 billion RMB in product revenue and 530 million RMB in services. Major participants are established RPA vendors including Yisaiqi, Jinzhiwei, and Laiye Technology, which have leveraged prior experience in process automation, customer bases, and delivery capabilities to capture early leadership positions.
From RPA to APA: A Leap in Enterprise Automation
Traditional RPA solutions function as scripted digital workers that execute predefined workflows. While effective for repetitive, rule-based tasks such as tax filing or data entry, these systems require engineers to pre-configure every step and often fail when encountering non-standard data or system changes.
APA adds an intelligent governance layer between RPA engines and AI agents. This layer encapsulates APIs, scripts, and existing RPA flows as callable tools and skills, allowing agents to understand tasks, dynamically plan, invoke tools, and self-heal without constant human oversight. At the same time, the platform enforces permissions, maintains full audit trails, and manages version control—critical requirements in regulated sectors such as finance and government.
Real-World Deployments at Scale
Yisaiqi has deployed its APA platform at Jiage Food, where agents now handle tax declaration workflows by interpreting natural-language requests, navigating systems, and adapting to interface changes without manual reprogramming. At Zhongtian Technology, 22 digital robots now cover 112 business scenarios across production quality control, contract management, equipment maintenance, and bidding processes, achieving near-100 percent accuracy and delivering monthly labor savings of 90,000 RMB plus an 80 percent overall efficiency increase.
The company, founded in 2011, holds 168 software copyrights and 91 patents, has completed full-stack domestic adaptation, and maintains CMMI ML5 certification. Its client portfolio exceeds 1,000 organizations, including major names in energy, finance, and manufacturing.
Market Outlook
IDC research manager Sun Zhenya notes that APA represents a new architectural layer in enterprise automation: stable RPA and workflow engines continue to handle execution while agents manage understanding and dynamic orchestration. The governance platform ensures these capabilities remain secure, reusable, and auditable.
As enterprises move from isolated RPA deployments toward end-to-end agent-driven automation, vendors with deep domain experience and proven delivery track records are positioned to lead the emerging market.
