Marketplace Scraping in 2026: Why Timer-Based IP Rotation Undermines Parsers

Analysis of one full day of telemetry from MobileProxy.Space reveals how marketplace anti-fraud systems detect scrapers through session continuity and rotation patterns rather than IP reputation alone. Over 2 million IP changes were recorded across 8,878 modems, with a median of 95 unique addresses per modem. Timer-driven rotations accounted for 60.2% of all changes, and 92.2% of those intervals were exact multiples of one minute, with a median of 120 seconds. Such rigid periodicity stands out against natural mobile network behavior where address changes occur irregularly due to cell handovers or PDP context resets. The data also shows that 73.1% of address changes complete within five seconds, yet duplicate rotation commands still occur in 0.8% of link-triggered events. The recommended approach ties rotation to parser session state, recreates cookies and TLS profiles on each change, and waits for address confirmation before resuming requests.

MTS, MegaFon and Beeline Must Temporarily Suspend Radio Equipment at FSO Request Under Extended Frequency Licenses

Russian telecom operators MTS, MegaFon and VimpelCom (Beeline) have received extensions for their radio frequency allocations until 31 December 2027, but the licenses now include a binding requirement to pause operations of radio-electronic equipment upon demand from the Federal Security Service (FSO). The State Commission for Radio Frequencies (GKRCH) added this condition during its 31 August meeting, directly linking compliance with FSO instructions to the continued use of spectrum originally allocated in 2006. The measure applies during security operations, high-priority state activities and special FSO events, potentially causing temporary loss of mobile connectivity for subscribers in affected areas. Although FSO powers to request such suspensions have existed since 2011, the new decision embeds the obligation explicitly into the frequency license terms. At the same time, the operators retain earlier commitments to expand network coverage to all settlements with at least 2,000 residents by 31 March 2027. The dual requirements illustrate how spectrum policy now balances nationwide connectivity goals with operational readiness for temporary shutdowns ordered by security authorities.

Beeline Offers One Month Free Access to Six Services for Prepaid Customers

Beeline has launched a promotional campaign allowing home users on prepaid plans to try up to six digital services for free over 30 days. The offer, tied to the operator's second annual Cellular Independence Day, runs from October 2 to October 9 and includes services such as Virtual Assistant PRO, unlimited mobile data, internet sharing without speed reduction, custom network name display, 250 GB of cloud storage, and access to over 650,000 e-books and audiobooks. Each selected service activates its own free period starting from the moment of connection and deactivates automatically afterward. Customers already paying for four or more of the listed services will receive 300 bonus rubles for communication instead. The unlimited data option is unavailable in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and Norilsk. Activation is handled exclusively through the Beeline mobile app, and users with existing paid subscriptions to any service cannot activate the free trial version of the same service.

Russia Permits 5G Deployment on Existing 4G Infrastructure and Frequencies

The Russian Ministry of Digital Development has prepared a draft decision for the State Radio Frequency Commission that introduces technological neutrality for mobile networks. Major operators including Beeline, Megafon, MTS and Tele2 will be allowed to launch 5G services on spectrum and base stations already allocated for LTE. The measure covers foreign equipment installed before September 2026 and aims to accelerate commercial 5G rollout without waiting for entirely new infrastructure. Additional spectrum in the 4.63-4.99 GHz band will be allocated for high-capacity use cases, although these frequencies offer limited coverage. Commercial 5G services must appear in cities with over one million residents by the end of 2027, with gradual expansion through 2031. Domestic base stations are scheduled to replace foreign equipment between 2027 and 2031.

Russian Users Report BiP and KakaoTalk Inaccessible Without VPN, Suspecting Roskomnadzor Filtering

Russian home users have started complaining about disruptions in BiP and KakaoTalk messenger services. Messages fail to send or receive without a VPN connection, but function normally once a VPN is enabled. The issue reportedly began three days ago and affects the author, relatives, and friends according to a Pikabu post. Beeline support denied any operator-side restrictions, and Roskomnadzor has issued no official statement on blocking the services. Similar reports have emerged from other users, including those in the Volga region, with the consistent symptom that direct connections fail while VPN routes succeed. No independent technical confirmation of traffic filtering exists yet, and complaints may relate to specific operators, regions, or service infrastructure. The pattern matches previous Russian experiences with content filtering, though official confirmation of any block on BiP or KakaoTalk remains absent.

Beeline Subscribers Targeted in Mass SIM Hijacking via Remote eSIM Issuance

Beeline customers have encountered widespread attempts to hijack mobile numbers through unauthorized remote issuance of eSIM cards. Attackers required only a single careless confirmation from the user to complete the takeover, bypassing traditional SMS or push notifications. The scheme presented a system-level prompt on the smartphone screen requesting login to the operator's personal account, after which a virtual SIM was issued and the physical card blocked. One victim was Kommersant FM editor-in-chief Vladislav Viktorov. Specialist Alexander Baulin suggested possible infrastructure compromise at the operator, though Beeline denied this and described the incident as a coordinated attack on remote SIM issuance mechanisms. The company stated it repelled the assault, with only isolated successful hijackings occurring, and is assisting affected users. Similar attacks have impacted the entire telecom market since the start of the year, enabling fraudsters to access banking apps, government services, and other accounts tied to the number.
